Pest Control Cost in Clarksville: What the Published Ranges Say
National cost guides put a one-time general pest control visit at roughly $50 to $500 and a quarterly visit at about $100 to $300. Termite and bed bug jobs run higher. These are published national figures, not our quote, and the company that inspects your home gives you a written price before any treatment.

No cost guide we found publishes a Tennessee or Clarksville figure, so everything below is national. The only number that counts is the one on your written estimate. Ask for a free inspection and a written price before any treatment.
Published price ranges by job
Each figure comes from a named cost guide, with the date that guide shows. None of them is a price from us or from the companies we refer.

Answers to the three price questions people search
How much does pest control cost in Tennessee?
None of the guides above publishes a Tennessee number. Bob Vila lists city figures for places like Dallas and Orlando but nothing for Nashville or Clarksville. So use the national ranges and expect your quote to land somewhere inside them, depending on the house and the pest.
What is the average cost of pest control?
Two national averages for a one-time general visit: $171 (This Old House, March 2026) and $223 (Fixr, January 2025). Those cover routine insects. Termite and bed bug work is priced separately.
How much should you spend on pest control?
Spend on the problem you have. If an inspection finds one wasp nest or an ant trail, a one-time visit is enough and you should not sign a year of service for it. If you have termite activity or German cockroaches, the money goes further on a proper treatment and follow-up visits than on the lowest-priced single spray. Using Fixr's figures, four quarterly visits at $98 to $178 come to $392 to $712 a year before any initial visit. That is my arithmetic on their numbers. Our one-time vs quarterly guide walks through when a plan pays.
If you are not sure what the pest is, a photo often answers that before anyone visits.
What pushes the price up in Clarksville homes
The cost guides name the same drivers everywhere: the pest, how big the infestation is, the size of the house, and how hard the problem is to reach. A few notes for the houses around here.
Square footage and linear feet
This Old House prices a one-time treatment by home size, from $250 to $450 for 1,000 square feet up to $450 to $750 for 3,000 square feet. Bob Vila says some companies add $25 for each 1,000 square feet over 1,500. Termite work is priced by the foundation perimeter instead: Fixr's $680 example assumes about 170 linear feet, roughly a 1,750 square foot house. A long ranch house with a big footprint costs more to treat than a two-story house of the same size.
Foundation type
None of the cost guides gives a separate price by foundation type, but the work differs, and that changes labor. UT Extension's guide to subterranean termite control describes each case. In a crawlspace house the technician treats along the inside and outside of the foundation walls and around the support piers. Slab houses mean drilling through concrete near the walls, at expansion joints and around plumbing, and UT says treating under a slab is difficult and sometimes hazardous. A basement is treated as a special case of a slab. UT also says slab-on-ground construction is the foundation type most open to termite attack. Fixr adds that hard-to-reach spots cost more, and This Old House notes that drilling through pavers or concrete raises the price.
Newer and older houses
About 48% of homes in Clarksville's city ZIP codes were built in 2000 or later, from Census figures on our Clarksville pest data page. UT Extension says most structures are pretreated with a soil termiticide during construction. That does not make a newer house termite-proof, so ask the inspector what the original treatment was and whether any warranty transferred to you. Older homes, including much of Hopkinsville, where 54% of homes were built before 1980, are more likely to need a full treatment.
Termites: liquid or bait
The bait line in the table can look cheaper or pricier than liquid depending on which guide you read, because baits add yearly monitoring. Fixr lists quarterly bait monitoring at $240 to $560 a year. Ask for both options in writing and compare the five-year total, not the first-year price. Our termite page covers what each method involves.
Bed bugs
Fixr prices heat at $1 to $3 a square foot and chemical at $2 to $4.50 a square foot. Chemical work usually takes more than one visit. I would not try to save money with a store fogger. See bed bug treatment.
Wasps and mosquitoes
A nest on the eaves is a one-time job; a nest inside a wall costs more because someone has to reach it. Mosquito service is sold by the season, and Clarksville averages 82 nights a year at 65F or warmer, almost all June to August. Bat and squirrel jobs are mostly exclusion: sealing the gaps after the animals are out. This Old House lists bat inspections alone at $75 to $400, and guano cleanup is billed separately at $500 and up.
What the quote may leave out
- The inspection fee. This Old House says some companies offer a free initial termite inspection, and Fixr says some waive the fee or fold it into treatment. Ask before the visit.
- Follow-up visits. Bed bugs and roaches often need more than one trip. Ask whether the price covers them.
- Repairs. Fixr lists foundation repair after termite damage at $5,000 to $10,000. Treatment does not fix wood that is already damaged.
- The termite bond. This Old House says a bond adds $500 to $2,000 for regular inspections and retreatment. In Tennessee, any termite contract must include a one-year retreatment warranty, and a damage guarantee is optional, per the Department of Agriculture's summary of its rules. Read which one you are buying.
Before you compare prices, check that each company holds a current charter. Our license guide shows how, and is this quote fair? covers the red flags. Questions people ask
How much does pest control cost in Tennessee?
We found no published Tennessee figure. National guides list a one-time general visit at $50 to $500 (This Old House, March 2026) or $158 to $288 (Fixr, January 2025), and the company that inspects your home gives you its own price.

This Old House puts the national average one-time visit at $171 and Fixr at $223. Termite and bed bug jobs cost more.
How much should you spend on pest control?
Match the spend to the problem. One wasp nest or ant trail needs one visit; termites or German cockroaches justify a full treatment with follow-ups.
How much is a termite inspection?
This Old House lists $75 to $325 and Fixr lists $150 to $350, and both say some companies waive the fee. Ask before the visit.
Does a crawlspace make termite treatment cost more?
The cost guides give no price by foundation type. Termite treatment is priced by linear foot, and crawlspace houses need treatment along the inside and outside of the foundation walls and around the piers, per UT Extension.
Are these prices a quote?
No. They are published national figures from named cost guides. The licensed company that inspects your home gives you its own written price before any treatment.
